IT’S SO simple and sweet
Because this is real romance. In a wild wood, by a ruined chapel - outside of the ordinary and away from a busy world.
ELOPEMENT AVAILABILITY
We’re delighted to say we are now taking bookings for up to 50 people for 2024 and 2025. Please read on or drop us a line on the contact form.
a leafy afternoon
We’re all about natural beauty and romance, here. Nothing artificial or over-blown, nothing stressy. Just an exquisite few hours gathering in wild nature. Think an organic, dappled ceremony in the woods with your closest friends and family, and the run of our wild estate for photographs afterwards. We share our woodland and ruined chapel - and you bring your people. Just look at the details below, then drop us a line.
the chapel
For up to 50 guests: wander along the riverbank to a secret ceremony at the Ruined Chapel, which we’ll have decked with wild foliage, flowers and lanterns. Under the cathedral cover of the trees, we’ll have laid out a few rough hewn benches and a living table of moss and flowers. We are licensed by the HSE so if you want to make it legal here you can, but that’s entirely up to you.
forest, fields and flowers
It’s so lovely here, you may not want to leave straight after. We give you the freedom of this natural reserve to soak up the beauty and curiosities, and come away with the most stunning photos. Wander through the woodland, stroll through the meadows full of wildflowers, paddle in the brook. As long as you leave no trace, we’re happy for you to take your time in this stunning natural environment.
epic Photography
Honestly, it’s a photographer’s dream here. We give you pretty-well free run around our rambling, re-wilding estate land: vintage ruins, the speckled light of the woodlands, rippled river and stone bridges, ancient trees, overgrown gardens and wild-flower meadows. Just bring your own expert and you’ll be sorted. To get the idea, have a look at our Real Elopements album.
embrace wild flower power
We love designing floral decor. Cut down on the carbon-miles of your floristry (store-bought flowers often have a huge footprint) , by letting us adorn your day with wild flowers and foliage foraged from our rich woodlands and meadows. Much cooler too! Ask about floral extras, which range from wild, seasonal bouquets to floral arches. Spectacular, sustainable and all of the profits go to our re-wilding project.

We protect this land as a nature reserve and grow organically. We also pursue strict waste and Leave No Trace policies and are reducing our carbon use each year, in and out. Your support in this is invaluable.
ceremonials
BYOC . Bring Your Own Celebrant. You can make it legal here, as we’re HSE approved (just make sure your celebrant is too). Or opt for the complete freedom of a symbolic ceremony. We’re also honoured to be your witnesses if you like.
getting here
Hire a taxi, rent a car, or mini-vans for larger parties. We’re only 45 minutes from Dublin and the airport despite being in deep countryside - you’ll find us on Google Maps. Special Carbon Hero discounts to anyone coming by public transport and bicycles.
photographs
The photo-opportunities abound amongst the trees, wild-flowers, riverbank and meadows, ancient towers and ruined dovecots, and the stunning, eighteenth century back drop of the Manor. Bring your own photographer, please and see what fun they have!
Conservation
We’re very serious about Nature throughout the estate and conserving Ireland’s pollinators, birds and ecology. It’s not an after-thought, it’s why we’re here. Most of the elopement profits get ploughed back into our meadow projects. So thank you!
want something extra?
We love to say yes! Please get in touch if there’s something special you want for your day that you feel is missing - we’re here to help and make things easy as pie, where we can. It’s your wedding, after all.
